First time cleaning my PC.. need Help!

Hi there.. its my first (3rd time) that i clean my pc.. i've always used a air-compressor (and holded it 30 cm away from the parts) but i want to know if this can damage any PC parts orn't.. i clean my fans out with a cotton swab.. i've never cleaned before an Power Supply or Graphic card (inside) or never have cleaned an Processor (and put new Thermal paste on it) so any tips/ideas are welcome!! And i should know if cleaning dust with an air compressor is good orn't.. and what are recommended products for cleaning motherboards, graphics cards etc... (like Alcohol swabs, or the product: Servisol or WD40 Special..) are these products any good.. can it damage PC parts..? any help would be welcome :)

Thanks i will look into it.. hope it can help me and if i need more help i can just go to a IT guy and ask what he uses for cleaning he's pc parts :P but i have asked it here first because iknow many people can help me

i Always cleaned my parts with air-compressor and some other things but that Link (Guide) is nice to look into! Thanks if there is anything i need to know i will ask here again Have a nice day

I have one almost identical to that and that is what I always use. You can sometimes get condensation in the tank. Just be sure there is no water coming out of tip when ready to use it. If you keep the compressor indoors should never be a problem.

Never use a shop air compressor! they are not pc hardware friendly. If you do want to use one you would need to install two parts on to the air compressor..
first: A psi(pounds per square inch) to ipsi(inch pounds per square inch) regulator that can turn down the psi to ipsi.
And second: "dry air kit" that completely removes all moisture from the system. both are not hard to find but both are also not exactly cheap. I Highly advise using a different cleaning solution.
buy some cheap compressed dry air cans that are made for cleaning dust off pc hardware.
and if you need to use a cleaning solution to clean those really dirty areas.. Only 91% isopropyl alchohol (completely evaporates) use moderately on a clean lint free cloth or q-tips, don't use brushes or abrasives.

Used one for 10 years plus with zero issues. Don't know what else to say about that. :)
