Hi,
A clc can be mounted in any place the lines are long enough to accommodate otherwise they would be shorter to limit mounting :)
If a system had that much air in it that unit would be a defect
rma most have 5 year warranty you have nothing to loose by mounting it where you can
Front would be best if it can be mounted like that but again it makes no difference :)
Sorry but that's not correct, an aio's radiator and hoses can be mounted in any position: horizontally on Top or bottom w/hoses upward, or vertically in front or the rear w/hoses orientated on top or bottom, they can even be mounted sideways. The same is true for the pump: horizontal, vertically, sideways, inverted, upside down. And it makes no difference how the pump and radiator/hoses are orientated to each other. Its all good bro.
Hi,
Yeah technically you're right Mike
Warranty wise it makes no difference :)
"It was just a question of radiator position at the bottom of the case, not about hoses"
[Quote OP] "does anyone know if its any downsides by placing a radiator horizontal, with the tubes pointing upwards?"
The placement of the radiator (horizontal) and hoses (pointing upward) is not ideal.. but if thats the only place you can mount it.. there shouldn't be an issue with an air bubble stopping the pump from priming the system.
