    Yeah, the fixes to the CPU code to stop hackers reduced CPU performance last i heard Intel was working on improving the performance reduction with newer BIOS updates. With Asus saying improve system performance I thought this might be that update.

    The BIOS update does not include any update of Intel processor microcode, so no. Shame on Asus.

    Improve system performance is a catch-all for Asus. Often their "improvements" destabilize an overclock.

    You can either mod the BIOS to include the newer microcode or install the Microsoft update that will load the newer microcode at windows boot time:

    So I flashed the new 2003 BIOS today but I'm still vulnerable to CSME according to the CSME Version Detection Tool. Why I am still vulberable to CSME?

    Because like I said above, ASUS claims to have update ME firmware and microcode, but didn't.

    OK but shouldn't the CSME vulnerability have been patched in ME firmware many BIOS's ago?

    You can get the standalone installer at ROG forums. [FIRMWARE] Intel ME (1xx/2xx Series & H310C/B365/Z370)
