I run all of my case fans entirely from the BIOS using a 10K sensor wire and it works so well. I used to use AI Suite for fans also but after learning how to do it in the BIOS I will never look back. I can share some BIOS screenshots to help you set it up if you'd like.
I used BIOS on MSI, but ASUS is for me not so good. Plus I can quickly add a copy of my favorite custom profile to C:\ProgramData\ASUS\DIP\FanXpert\Profiles that I use for 24/7 that's relatively quiet until I really need the air flow(benchmarking or compressing/decompressing files) without the annoying constant revving up & down of the fans.
You just can't switch profiles in BIOS on the fly so for my use I need fan expert.

If that works for you. My fans don't rev up or down because the way I've set the temperature ranges the fans only ever ramp up when things get hot. As long as you don't touch the overclocking stuff in AI Suite it should be fine. They might of even improved the software a lot by now.

It doesn't matter if they improved the software, you cannot trust the voltage readings inside of Windows, specially when using LLC or any voltage setting other than manual so I don't expect the software in Windows to work as goo as BIOS settings.

Even the eXtreme overclockers use specialized software that the normal Joe doesn't have access to, in competition.

Can you setup AI Suite so it doesn't interfere with your BIOS overclock settings and just runs your fans?

Like all such programs, just don't use/make adjustments in the OC part.
Then all it does is show current settings.
Plus you need to apply any changes anyhow, and they would only apply when Windows is loaded(and probably need to be reapplied each time).I would be more worried about letting EZ Updater install for security reasons(which I always unselect)

When I try to run the installer for the latest LAN Driver Version 12.17.10.7 the installer doesn't launch.

Try running as admin, or use device manager and point it to where you have the file downloaded

I didn't want to post this in the Intel chipset thread because it would add to much confusion:

New version of Intel Chipset Driver (CHIPSET) has just been released :

    - Intel Chipset Driver (Drivers Only Package) - Last version [24/04/2019] :
    ----Package : 10.1.18010.8141 WHQL
    ----Download :

    Thread updated.
