I have stated above, it has nothing to do with BIOS, it has to do with the VRM PWM monitoring chip.
HWInfo and Aida64 developers have said there are two different versions used on the boards, some have temps monitoring(turned on), some don't.

For me, it's no big deal, I was just saying, I couldn't post VRM temps when I get my 9900K.
But these boards have a good-solid 8 phase design, and will handle it well.

I have used it before(when not overclocking) and vrm still didn't showup.
Didn't show up where? You said you only just installed HWiNFO... Have you checked HWiNFO again since enabling SVID?

Good thinking from essenbe. I'd double check if it's not something in the Bios.

@Cliff You run 1.232V on your 8700K? Is that the max voltage you give it? Wow that's low.
    That's only for 4.7GHz.
I need to pump it up to 1.42v(with LLC set to 6 it shows as 1.40 in monitoring software.)

I have had HWInfo installed before, but uninstalled it as I use Aida64.

I see. I bet the delid helps a lot at 1.42v! Probably wouldn't attempt that higher voltage myself but I'm getting 4.9Ghz stable at 1.280-1.300v.

Weird about some X-Hero's not having the VRM sensor, is there any particular reason for it?

ASUS has kept mum about it when asked.

But it could have to do with EC(embedded controller) switching in monitoring software, like their own ASUS Suite,, Aida64 and so on, causing system stability problems, and that these are designed for extreme overclocking, that would be BAD.

The 9900K does all it does within the 8700K's 95W TDP. If Intel has given the green light on Z370 for 9900K you should be good.

The 9700K is already NZD $700+, that means the 9900K is something I won't be experiencing anytime soon.
