It can, but if you're over clocking, you shouldn't.
ACE basically makes the CPU turbo in all cores, all the time, which is ok for a non-K SKU CPU, as it won't get too hot.
The default for a CPU(no overclocking) is only one core(or two depending on if it's a HEDT(high end desktop) CPU like X series CPU's) turbos.
Maybe the ACE it mentions when loading XMP basically turns on MCE. When I loaded XMP I clicked yes to the XMP notice but then went ahead and loaded custom overclock settings, so maybe ACE got overridden anyway. I suppose I can go back to the Bios disable and re-enable XMP this time clicking no to the notice. :)

Edit: I was under the impression that if you selected no, XMP would not be applied to the ram. Hmm always something new.

Or just turn Multicore enhancement off?

It is not on. XMP may have tried to turn it on when I clicked yes to the notice but I disabled it afterwards!

Another thing to play with I just remembered:

Personally I use C-States, Speed Shift, and Speed Step so the PC uses only the power, and ramps up the CPU to what is needed for regular daily use.
For benchmarking though, I turn all three off, for stability, so the system is at a constant voltage, and no up & down.

Try turning those off too, and then run Prime95.

That screenshot is from Der8auers video, it's not my Bios. I also use C-States, Speed Shift, Speed Step and the balanced power plan for my daily desktop.

Weird, it's the same with other motherboard models also. Hmm it seems to load in an incognito tab though...

Other weird Chrome behavior is the constant spinning Windows loading circle. Anybody have that?
