I just finished BIOS update and setting my three profiles up, and making copies to a thumbdrive:)

My three I use are 5GHz(benchmarking), 5GHz with C States turned on(daily as long as ambient temps are cool enough), and Intel's settings with C States on(for whatever reason).

Anything special in this Version 1301 or not really?

Support RAID on CPU function in Z370 series.
    Improved DRAM compatibility
It looks like M.2 PCIe improvements & more RAM on the QVL/improved RAM XMP profiles, from the above description.

Is the support RAID on CPU likely this Intel VROC that allows NVMe drives to RAID?

By the way, normally I use the shorthand: W/ for "with" when giving names, but I found out doing this, when saving a BIOS setting to USB, gives you the error about not being able to save to an NTFS drive, even though your USB is formatted to FAT32.

I was getting frustrated when trying to save as 5GHz W/C States and kept getting the error, but my 5GHz took. Then I forgot to add the "/" and it worked.

I don't know, BIOS descriptions are always cryptic
The even forget or just plain don't mention everything that has changed.
I've seen this for updates to Intel ME and microcode change

Is it just / symbol that won't save or other symbols as well? Guess I'll stick to numbers and letters..

I just use blank spaces now.
    That works.

My .CMO sometimes got corrupted or would not load on my last Asus board but I have not had any issue with the X Hero thus far.
