I used the Rockit tool on mine, worked flawlessly. Good price to.

Probably already mentioned but have some liquid metal on hand for between die and IHS and some good TIM for between IHS and cooling surface.
That's great to know. Did you buy directly from them? I'm not sure I've checked their shipping yet.

I was thinking that Intel's TIM must have to be pretty shitty if liquid metal is dropping temps by 20C right? What the heck are they putting on there!

Cheap toothpaste i think. I did buy directly from them yes, I am in Canada, took about a week and I had it.

Rockit does sell liquid metal as well as TIM.

Which way is the IHS actually supposed to go back on?

Edit: I think I can figure that out! lol
Just use a black marker to put marks on 1 side of the PCB and the IHS before you delid it.

I believe the Sandy Bridge was the last properly soldered CPU Intel made.

After that it was garbage paste.

The little corner arrow on the PCB, that is the bottom of the CPU

Those temperatures I posted last night topping out at 60-63C in AC Origins I remember now that I dropped the field of view setting down to 90 from 100. This probably reduced CPU rendering load quite a bit.

I am going to stress test the CPU as soon as it cools down some, very warm here right now.

63C tops in Intel XTU, 4.7GHz 1.280v. I guess 4.7 is just a walk in the park with this chip! Next test RealBench.

Hey, those are really nice numbers. Nothing to worry about regarding temps. :)
