@stealth2920, is that your 5.1 overclock?
Because you have your Bus Speed set at 103. Also, in case you don't know, you can put a USB flash drive formatted FAT32 in and press F12 on any screen and it will put a picture of the bios screen you are looking at on the USB drive.
I didn't know that about that regarding the image. Yes my bus is set at 103. I followed a Debauer set up that he had on youtube with the identical board. He was overclocking to 5.1 but I set mine lower. Are you saying my bus speed should be lower? Default is 100.
Well, it's a slippery slope. Increasing Bus speed overclocks your CPU higher than the multiplier. However, it also overclocks your Ram, hard drive/SSD and other things as well. So, at some point, you could have ram problems because of it and have to adjust timings to compensate for the overclock to it and by all reports, SSDs do not like being overclocked. I wouldn't say not to do it. A lot of people do and run that way without any problems. Just be aware of what else is going on when you do that is all I am really saying.
CPU frequency is Bus Speed X Multiplier.
Hi,
I usually if at all use 100.1 just to keep the reading a hair above the multiplier
Nobody likes to see a hair lower reported multiplier by cpu-z validate cpu clock
You could also use 100.3 and get the same jump in clock speed instead of 103.
I also have already overclocked my ram a little. Maybe I should set the bus to 100.3 and see how that goes. That's what you show on cpuz that you posted.
Now I am totally confused - these numbers look to be already lower than those in @stealth2920's pic
Mine was overclocked from a Debauer you tube video he did using my exact board, however he overclocked a lot higher than I wanted too, but I used his as a baseline. I am still trying to lower some settings as I would be happy with a 4.8 or 4.9 OC.
Your core voltage (CPU Core/ Cache) is set to auto, which to a bios means 'take all you want'. You need to set it to something to give it a limit.
