Today the temperature around my two 140mm intake fans seemed really high, 6-7C above room temperature. It seems strange to have that much heat build up at the front intake.

That does not sound right, but it could be caused by positive pressure in the case. The heat circulates back to the intake fans and leak out from there. Also the case itself could be leading heat to the front. Cases are metal after all. Thermodynamics is a tricky business.

If it's positive pressure do I need more intake fan speed than exhaust or the other way around?

The other way around. You need to suck more air out of the case, but not too much or you build up negative pressure which in turn can be both a good and bad thing. It depends on your case. You'll find the best setup by trial and error, and it can take a long time to find the perfect balance.

Yeah, the animation makes it much easier to understand the written, about the flow, than a static picture would.
