Today is a good day! I ordered this ThinkCentre last week and received this amazing machine instead! It has a 512GB M.2 Samsung PM981 NVME SSD as the primary drive! Total steal for $388! Lenovo does not want it back either. Told me to keep it. My intention had been to upgrade the A12 with a Ryzen 3 1300X and upgrade the RAM to 16GB and use it as a VM machine but now I don't really have to upgrade anything but the memory.
Don't understand what happened, top one is much better computer.

Hey essenbe. Agree with all you said bud. Until they drop it is all conjecture.

Personally, I don't think the Ti is the new Titan. Nvidia never misses an chance to milk its customers and I would be very surprised if in a few months they don't release a faster gpu, for quite a bit more money of course.

I can't argue with you @doorules although the pricing seems about right for a Titan.

I don't have a dog in this fight. At this point, I have no intention of buying a 2080. When I own a game and my 1080 TI can't keep up, I may consider it.

But I can't believe how many people are getting so worked up over a "leaked" benchmark. Just because somebody says it was a 2080, you have no clue whether it is or not, or what drivers, what settings or whether it was a total fabrication. Maybe just click bait. Like a lot of you, I've been around these things for a long time and have seen more than my share of "leaked" benchmarks. Every single one of them I can recall were pure, unadultrated BS, one way or the other. The last I heard, Nvidia were the only ones that had a 2080 at the time of that leak. I can assure you if Nvidia leaked them, the scores would have been a lot higher than the ones we saw, whether it was true or not. Would anyone like a little wager that when the 'real' 2080's come out, the scores will be way different than the "leaked" ones? They may be better or may be worse, but they won't be close to what we have seen. Just be patient. Wait for the real benches. Then we will know what to complain about

As far as the pricing, and I don't know if I really believe this, but JayZ said the 2080 TI was the new Titan. There won't be a Titan, the 2080 TI is it. If that were true the 2080 would move up to the TI catagory. If, and that's a big if, that were true it would make the pricing pretty close to what prices were with Pascal. The Titan was $1200 and the TI's were around $750-$800, PM (pre miners). All of that sounds like a tall tale to me, but may be. Who knows.
The 1080Ti is mad plenty unless the game is moving in stills i think there is no need to even upgrade and i am on a Ultrawide seriously this time around

I'm pretty happy with my Rig there is no game i am playing that needs anymore than what i have atm

Back then hardware was a competition now it's at a stalemate

I can't justify spending $1200 on a GPU just to say i am on top of the Benchmarks no matter how good it is i'd rather go to Vegas on that cash

Yeah, I think the Titan V was just a stepping stone towards this RTX stuff and was never meant to be a mainstream GPU. Now that the architecture has been verified and tested, they released it as the new 2080Ti with a few modification, in order to make it a bit cheaper.

Lenovo's outlet has a habit of shipping the wrong computer. I won in this case. They sent me the 1700 machine instead of the A12.

But 1700 is better, those APUs were leftover from FM2 socket made to run in AM4 and are vastly inferior to Ryzen. So you have both now ?

I have the 1700 Thinkcentre and a 1700X Dell rig now. My goal with the A12 rig was I have R3 1300X from a never completely build and I was just looking for cheap AM4 hardware that had the option of a R3 so I could swap the 1300X into it. But now I have a 1300X again without a home. I may end up selling the Thinkcentre considering how well spec'd it is and upgrade to a VEGA GPU finally.
