We have the same card, only a different manufacturer, I`m not sure why that matters, Mike said his 1080 Ti FTW3 flickers too.

I think the problem is with the nvidia 1080 Ti display port connection.
I put a 1080 Ti in my Z170 and connected it to my AOC 24" with a Displayport cable and it flickered there too.
No problems with HDMI.
I`ve thought of that, but aren`t you using the cable that came with the Asus too ?
I tried another DP cable I had and it still flickers.
Well we got about 2 more users in here that also have same monitor, maybe one of them has a different method, than I used. I did spend a few hours, removing crap, and trying different profiles. Then I let Windows calibrate it, and been using that profile since. Just got to make sure you check every screen in Color Management.

With the aoc gsync monitor I always suspected it was the cheap power adapter causing it
Middle connection was loose as heck
I added elect tape to fill the loose gap and it's pretty snug now but still flickers
Anyway as said this happens well before the os is loaded so doubt it's the icc in the flickering
ICC is just a color thing and sRGB is a lot better
Issue is NVidia could easily test the issue with 1080ti's all they need is a gsync monitor and a 1080ti but obviously quality control is down the tubes.
Maybe they only test with their own brand gsync monitors
Here is another article I read this morning on high refresh rates flickering. This might be of interest or not. If you do have flickering at bootup thou, you might want to try getting a better display cable.
When in doubt, use the cable your monitor came with. It should work–in theory. Unfortunately, cheap, low-quality cables can also cause problems. Your monitor’s included cable might not even be good enough. We recently found that the included cable with an ASUS monitor couldn’t provide a stable signal at 144Hz. Instead, the screen would occasionally flicker and the refresh rate would drop down to 60Hz until we rebooted the computer. We replaced the cable with a higher-quality Accell DisplayPort cable and the monitor operated fine at 144Hz without any flickering or refresh rate drops.
