Brian, do you have G-Sync enabled in the Nvidia Control Panel? Do you have the 165 for an option in Nvidia CP?

Mine is too. I had the same problem as Brian but can't remember exactly what I did to fix it.

You have to click on that setting more than once sometimes, to make it stick. Think it took me 3 trys....

It would be a good benchmark, plus it looks like a prequel to Time Spy.

    I finally got it :)

After setting it to 165Hz, you have to push the button straight in again, dam they make this so difficult

And there`s no manual for it at all, at least not in the box.

Good job Brian, I know we got nothing for a manual.

I just booted into my W7 drive, and the graphics are terrible with this monitor, horrible. Even after installing the latest driver. What the hell is going on here

You might have to add some ICC profiles for your new monitor Brian. Read the info on this site, Andrew gave me this link last night.

    Hi,
I'd say delete the asus ICC profile if it's as bad as the AOC ICC profile which turns windows photo viewer nice light blue into pink no telling what other colors it screws up :)
    Use sRGB ICC profile :)
