2018 Hardware Thread

I so love my local computer shop.

Right now they sell pretty much everything imaginable related to aircooling, watercooling, delidding and silencing. They have all the best stuff for sale for pretty much everything relevant today. Only computer shop in Finland with such level of service (that I know of).

Best part, I live about 1KM from their main warehouse/storage/shop. <3 <3 <3

Don't worry about GPUs, in the long run it won't be worth it anymore for the miners: Bitcoin Difficulty and Hashrate Chart - BitcoinWisdom

The more hashes found, the higher the difficulty, that's why the need to use use ASIC(Application-specific integrated circuit chips (ASICs)) machines made for mining now, and that won't even last long

They picked up at least 3,000,000 GPUs just last year.

As long as new cryptocurrencies emerge, ALL GPUs are hauled mostly by miners. There are currently cryptocurrencies even my laptop can generate measurable profits in money.

So yeah, I'm worried a lot.
