@doorules, have you ever tried a repair install instead of a clean install to clean up those errors? It will fix an awful lot of stuff and is waaaaay easier than a clean install.
I remember trying that many moons ago, but I just go with a fresh install 99.9% of the time. I don't really have much confidence in MS repair function.

I have lots of practice with clean installs, lol. They don't take very long and I am 100% sure of what I am starting with.

Give it a try sometimes. It's not the same as a system restore. It's almost like a clean install where you keep your programs and data installed. Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade Installation Upgrade Tutorials

    Hi,
Personal data is usually nothing to restore
But I'd rather restore a system image
With the mother board change I just haven't saved one from the newer one yet or just deleted it by accident not sure
Either way doing a clean install and system image this morning :)

Over the last year I have been working for my IT lead in his personal IT consulting firm. I talked him into buying this AMD Ryzen Desktop for a new computer and he surprised me tonight by buying one for me! So excited to have a new Ryzen machine again. It's a prebuild but it's spec'd extremely well!

    Well congratulations @copiertech25 !!!
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with off the shelf PCs.
I have had some really nice ones.
My Lenovo, which I still have as a backup, is really good for virtualization, I just can't run as many as the one I built is all, but one at a time is enough too.
It's just not for gaming(which I don't do anyhow), or benchmarking.

Another thing to try is running a native boot virtual hard disk(VHD), just ask @Kari where the tutorial is.
That way you can install windows and any hardware tools, benchmark software, and turn off all unneeded background services and internet stuff running, uninstall all the store apps, or even the store it self, to totally reduce and uneede system activity.

No need to activate, as you are only using it to bench, and probably will need to recreate after as while.

Another, less gray zone way is, if your system has a Hypervisor like Hyper-V, VMWare, or Virtualbox, and download a Windows 10 VM here: Free Virtual Machines from IE8 to MS Edge - Microsoft Edge Development then create a VHD with that.

Wow, a boss worth working for !!! That's a killer machine.
He is a really good boss. I met him while I was a printer tech. He was one of my clients then and we were talking while I was fixing a printer and he said if he had a position open he would hire me on the spot. He kept his word a few months later and called me up and offered me a open position. I've never been happier in a job. And I'm his business' Mac guy.

I've already pushed his new rig to the limits to see how it performs. It does really well.
I have this evil plan in the back of my head to buy a case, powersupply, good motherboard, and an AIO 240mm cooler and move all the good stuff in the Dell to it.

It's a video on our video thread, not a tutorial: Windows 10 instructional videos by Ten Forums members - Page 126 - Windows 10 Forums

You can use those free virtual machines, or rather the virtual hard disks they contain as native boot VHD as shown on video I mentioned above. No need for Hyper-V or other virtualization software. I've made a tutorial for that on our sister site EightForums.com, it applies to Windows 10, too: Windows 10 - Test Try with No Risk, No Install | Eight Forums
