I just booted into my W7 drive, and the graphics are terrible with this monitor, horrible. Even after installing the latest driver. What the hell is going on here
Well for some reason the X299 wanted to do a disk check, never had that issue with a HP 2311bw hdmi monitor hooked up, but I let it do it and I went to sleep, now W7 looks fine

    Dam Gremlins

But ya Mike, it flickers at least 10 or 12 times before it gets to windows, really annoying. The 980 Ti`s don`t do it and they use Display Port, only these 1080 Ti`s do it.

I don`t hear of anyone else having that issue here.

It probably won`t do it using a HDMI cable but then I`ll only get 60Hz.

    I`ll check that now.

You might have to add some ICC profiles for your new monitor Brian. Read the info on this site, Andrew gave me this link last night.
ICC Profiles and Monitor Settings Database - TFTCentral
This is what it looks like now and all seems well.

No flickering at all with a HDMI cable, but then it only runs at 59Hz, if I set it to 60Hz, it looks like it did in reply #458.

I removed the above color profile and it now runs at 60Hz.

But of course no G-Sync with the HDMI cable.

Am I supposed to go through all this aggravation after spending $700

What is causing all this flickering when using a DP connection with a 1080 Ti ???

Does anyone else have this issue ? Anyone at all ?

    Hi,
sRGB icc profile should give the same Hz options in nvidia control panel.

You have to work on it a little and make sure you set your monitor up right Brian. :) I ran Windows Calibrate 1st, then I use THAT profile on the monitor. No flickering at all using my DP cable, with my 1080Ti card.

Mine did it booting up, just for a sec or 2 ....now it does not. No flickering at all. BUT we have different GPU Cards. Mine does have G-Sync, which is why I wanted THIS monitor.
