Yes of course they do as they have tested them to find the highest point they can be oc'd ......well worth knowing for me, instead of buying one and then finding out it will only oc to say 5.1 or 5.2 .....

I'm going to wait a while anyhow, because I'm still not sure which motherboard I want to upgrade too, or use this one. Unless the Silicon Lottery posts some that are over 5.3 ..... then I'll have to buy that chip asap.....because they don't last long.

Yea, a 5.1 or 5.2 chip would be a real dog, wouldn't it? It was only a couple of years ago if you could do 5.0 you were considered an overclocker extroidinaire. Things change quickly in this business.

This 8700K chip of mine can do 5.3 all day.....Steve.
