Help over-clocking my ROG PG348q monitor

I have an Asus ROG Swift PG348Q 34" monitor.

I've been trying to get the Over-clocking feature to work for a while, looking over the forums and I'm still at a lose. I have a DisplayPort cable. I tried various methods methods all to no avail. When I have OC turned on then I press the Turbo key, only 60 Hz is displayed, same goes for pressing and holding the Turbo key for > 5 seconds. I'm also assuming that I can change the refresh rate without playing a game. What I'd like to ask is if someone could plz give me step-by-step instructions

Tommy (Solarstarshines) has that monitor, he's the one you want to talk to :)

Did you go into the nvidia control panel ?

    That's where I see my 144Hz option.

The specs of the PG348Q say you need a 980 Ti or above.

You have a 970, or are you trying to use a different card ?

Note: for smooth gameplay, G-SYNC requires a GeForce GTX 980Ti and above to overclock the refresh rate up to 100Hz

So you have it hooked to the Display Port did you do any adjustments in the Nvdia control Panel ?

Besides having the 1.2 Display or is it 1.3 you need to adjust the control panel for your monitor to take advantage it's locked at 60 because that is what most of everything runs at

Thx for taking the time to help me out. I've attached several files that detail my PC configuration, hopefully it gives you the info you need. When I open the Nvidia Control Panel, I don't see the option Preferred Refresh Rate. The Windows Display properties only shows values of 50 and 60.

    I have a Geforce GTX 1080 with 8GB.
My PC has 16GB of ram.

    Read through this

And a driver for your monitor can be found here

I updated the driver for the monitor, G-Sync is set for Windowed and Full-screen mode but I still don't see the option other than 60 Hz. I also read that this feature may only be viable with a GTX 1080Ti and I have a GTX 1080.
