Motherboard Fault

My understanding is, it test things hooked to the motherboard. It does not test the motherboard.

So basically it does as other programs do. It test the motherboard indirectly by testing the hardware hooked to it. (PC subsystem)

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I like the heck out of learning.

@Layback Bear, we aren't really talking about testing a motherboard per se, we are talking about testing a CPU overclock stability. There are several programs that stress the CPU enough to determine if your overclock is stable. Real Bench is one of the better ones, but IMO it takes several and you still never know 100%.

I have download the zip and will try it later.

I was trying to stay on the motherboard subject as per the thread and thought someone had come up with a motherboard tester.

I think I will log off the forum and give the new program a try.

Realbench is good in that it tests all aspects of your build. Cpu, gpu, and ram. Having said that any program used to to measure stability is only really testing it in that one instance. You can extrapolate out from it to say OK, I am stable. But that can change in an instant with electronics.

I have always maintained that people in general make way to much out of saying you need to run this or that for X amount of hours to be able to declare you are "stable".

If your system does what you need it to do, on a regular basis, than I would maintain that you are stable. Nothing more to it than that.

This is of course just my opinion on the matter. :)

So far all I got was, 'download again because all the dll didn't work' so I removed the program.
The program would not download properly.

I will try again later.

I agree. I can't tell you how many times I have run different stress tests for hours and hours and passed, then cranked up a game and BSOD before it even loaded. I alway chuckle to myself when someone says their OC is 100% stable, guaranteed. It only matters that you are stable for what you do with your computer. I would imagine half the computers in the world couldn't pass many of these stress tests, but never have a BSOD.
