    Adapter switchinng from ipv4

HP 15-f233wm, with Realtek RTL8188EE, can connect to internet, then it disconnects, reconnect trying to identify network, can look in property and its connected to IPv6.
WTH the can be done to stop that, bad enough cant browse with the update KB4048955.

    Did you reboot?

Sorry may I ask why you want to shut off IPv6?

Guess this answer my other questions is Network working? Is it using IPv6.

Rebooted, even reset, done the netsh winsock reset, rebooted, then netsh int ip reset, rebooted, ipconfig/release,, ipconfig/renew,, ipconfig/flushdns,, worked fine a few hours then back to connecting, disconnecting, verifying no iinternet access, look back in property and its on IPv6 again.

Okay. May I ask why you don't want IPv6?

No access on IPv6. IPv4, can browse web, log on here. IPv6 nope, can no do. just shows in task bar verifying network, no internet access with yellow triangle.

Who is using it, no web pages are.

If turning off IPv6 disables your IPv4 that doesn't sound right. With IPv6 on I think you said you can use the Internet, correct?

IPv6 comes up Verifying Network, No Internet Access..
I was talking to a lady last night that works at a computer place, she said go in and change setting on everything that can be set to performance, change it to performance. that disables the energy saver.
So far everything has speeded up, hasn't disconnected and switch over.

One other thing you can check along these lines. Right click adapter in Device manager, then properties, then power mgmt tab.

Remove check mark on allow computer to shutoff device to save power.
