Unable to start Peer Networking Identity Manager service. Error 5

    The entire message is:

Windows could not start the Peer Networking Identity Manager service on Local Computer.

    Error 5: Access is denied

I tried deleting the folder PeerNetworking at the suggestion on Windows 7 Fourms.

    C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking

It was supposed to rebuild it when you either reboot the computer or try to start homegroup but it does not.

    Any suggestions?

Don't delete the folder. Try deleting the files in the folder. Accessing the network will initially say that you don't have permission. You must be logged on as an administrator and tell it to continue at that notice to gain permission.

Actually that is what I did, delete the files in the folder. I am logged on as an administrator. I get that message when I am trying to start Peer Networking Identity Manager in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\Services.
