    Windows 10 Peer to Peer Network

    I am working on a friends network, there are 4 computers on the network, 3 running Windows 10 and one running Windows 7. The main computer (Office) has a HomeGroup setup on it, and the other computers have been joined to that homegroup. "Office" also has a folder shared out, with full control granted for "everyone". However, when you try to browse to that folder from one of the other computers I get an error saying "Path not found" I have re-verified that it's shared correctly, and that I'm browsing to the correct UNC path (ie \\office\foldername) does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking maybe allowed apps list under firewall setting?

    indecently, the windows 7 PC is not joined to the homegroup, and is the only one that can access that shared folder. I setup the homegroup in an effort to correct that problem.

    When you setup a share and give everyone permission that applies to the share but then NTFS permissions kick in on the folder so you need to check that also has everyone as full rights

    Thanks for the reply. I will check on the folder rights, but I assumed that they were already set sense the windows 7 PC can access that folder.

    Win7 user may have rights but not other users
