    Duh Windows 9

Comcast network issues only affecting windows pcs and not xbox

About a wk ago my laptop would get disconnected randomly and have speed issues despite being still wifi connected to the network, i thought it my be the wifi adapter but i just tried 2 other windows pcs and its similar

When i go to google and use the new speed test they have i get less than 2 mb but when i do it at the same time on my xbox via edge browser i get 40 mb

I watch netflix on my xbox and smart tv without issues while my pc suffers at the exact same time

I am using the modem provided by comcast and the devices are all connected to the same ssid

I studied networking about a decade ago and this doesnt make sense to me

    Windows 10 Pro Build 1703

    Hi xboxhaxorz.

What connection speed is Windows reporting between your Windows device and your router?

Right click on network icon in systray, open network and sharing, click on the link that is your "Connection". A box will open and it will show you signal strength and speed.

There is such a thing as QoS / MMS and if you search this and Comcast you get lots of hits although they are older.

Do you know if router is dual band and if so which band you are using? Would be interested in speed Windows is reporting between it and router.
