Slow internet only on windows 10 computer

I have three PCs running tp-link adapters which connect WIFI to our home router. The 2 windwos 7 computers get 28Mbps downloads and around 8 upload. The one PC that is Windows 10 gets 6 download and 7 upload. The pings for all machines are around 7.

    1) the windows 10 PC is closer to the router than the others.
    2) I have updated all drivers for the adapter on this PC
    3) I tried the other TP-link adapters and none of them get above 7-8 Mbps.
4)I followed the suggestions for turning of update sharing and limit reservable bandwidth
    5) I made sure there were no viruses, background programs etc running.

    Any tips?

The only thing I could think of is that the case only has USB2.0, but I don't think that is it.

I partially figured it out. I had firefox 32bit installed. I installed the 64 bit version and now I am getting about 13-14Mbps. Still not as fast as my other PCs, but tolerable for streaming and whatnot.
