No wi fi connection
Cannot open wi fi on my sony vaio. Laptop recently updated and now shows wi fi as switched off. Have tried all network connections but cannot find a way to switch wi fi on. Help please

You said laptop was updated, could you expand. Did Windows install a cumulative update or did you go from Anniversary Update to Creator Update or .... ?
I never know everyone's technical level, if you've performed these steps already just ignore.
Is adapter showing in Device Manager? If it is there is there an error code?
Next check that Airplane is off. Click on notification symbol lower right, action center should open.
Next check that physical switch is in on position. Most laptops today have a way to enable and disable wireless embedded in function keys, not sure which F key is yours. Usually little stick antenna with waves on either side.
Next I would run a Network Reset, Click Start=>Settings=>Network & Internet=> scroll down right side to bottom, Network Reset
Next I would unplug laptop, remove battery, hold power key for 20 seconds. Wait a minute or two. Reassemble and test.

I have been having an extreme problem with connecting to the internet. After upgrading to windows 10 from windows 7 home version (I assume windows 10 is the problem) I had connectivity for over a month. Thus I cannot roll back to windows 7 anymore....
