I have used this device for years with great success. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
The ip of this device is the same the ethernet device you plug in it?

This device creates a physical network between itself and the device to which it is connected. This represents an IP network address scheme. It then connects wireless to your Wi-Fi network and gets an IP address from your wireless router. You can think of this device as a mini-router between the two network environments.

The router configured as the access point, and the computer should NOT have the same IP address. No two devices accessible by an IP address on the same subnet should have the same IP address.
