Gotta love Ten Forums ...Well, wouldn't it be nice if all the web sites with complicated detail about SMB v.1 simply said to check in "Turn Windows Features On and Off." Yes, Ver 1 is installed, at least on laptop B. Another thing to check on Desktop A when I get access in an hour or so.
I had a feeling SMBv1 was installed on B and you're probably going to need/want to install/enable SMBv1 Client & Server on all your PC's. I mentioned that SMBv1 is deprecated, but it has been patched on Win10 against WannaCry and there is very little risk in using it on a home network ... IMHO ... I used it for along time (even before it was patched) without any issues, until I got my new router just a couple months ago :)
Note: I know I've thrown a lot info at you, just take your time with this stuff :)
