Resetting drivers on tablet - better wifi signal, no network
Hi. I have an Acer W4-820 tablet. Today, I was having problems with the wifi signal. All my other computers and tablets don't have this problem so I updated the BIOS. When that didn't change anything, I uninstalled the Broadcomm drivers and allowed the computer to reinstalled them. The wifi signal from my router is great now. I can access the internet just fine now. However, the computer will not recognize my printer or the NAS drive. The other computers have no problems. In fact, the other computers recognize the tablet being on the network even though it can not access any information from the tablet. The Synology assistant program on the tablet recognizes the NAS drive at a specific IP address, but can not connect. Network discovery is on as well as File and printer sharing for the private network. HomeGroup isn't set on any of the computers. Restarting the NAS didn't help. Restarting the computer didn't help. Given that the other computers aren't having any problems, I'm figuring that the problem is with the tablet.
Sometime during the night, I got access to the NAS, but then it blinked out on me again. I have already uninstalled and tried to reinstall the wifi driver again.
I have limited knowledge of networking and was wondering if someone might be able to help me. The tablet does not have the Windows 10 creator's update yet.
Thank you.
