Cannot access shared folder on Win 10 Machine, tried a lot of things!

Hello all, I'm having a problem accessing a shared drive on a new computer. I used to run a Plex media server on my gaming desktop, but I just got a new Windows machine (the media PC) with a 300GB external drive permanently plugged in. All video files are stored on the 300GB external and is set as Plex's library folder.

List of Computers in my house:
    Gaming Desktop - Win10, Wired
    Macbook Knockoff - Win10, Wireless
    Father's Desktop - Win7, Wired
    Sister's Laptop - Win10, Wireless
BrandNew Media PC - Win10, Wireless

    Problem:
Plex is installed on the new media PC and can be accessed through the web interface by any device. The video files are stored on the 300GB external hard drive mapped to D:\.

I want to make the D:\ drive into a shared folder so that any computer on this network can place and delete files onto this D:\ drive.
I have D:\ set as a shared drive, permissions = shared with "everyone", Full Control/Read/Write

Problem is that whenever I try to access the Media PC from my gaming desktop it gives me "WINDOWS cannot access \\MEDIACENTER". However, when I try from my Macbook knockoff, it works perfectly. What gives?

    Current Status:
    All time zones correct
All Win10 machines use Microsoft email login, PIN entry
Media PC pingable from gaming desktop
    All networks set to "Private"
    • Network discovery - ON
    • File/Printer Sharing - ON
    • Public Folder Sharing - ON
    • Password Protected Sharing - OFF
    • Windows Firewall is ON for private networks

Did you look at the tutorials at https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...e_Maintenance/ before posting. Has nothing to do with PLEX, it has to do with whether you are using a local account or a Microsoft account for logging into your computers running Windows 10. Also the PLEX server is best to not be on a machine that you are using for gaming, since it can cause PLEX or the game program you are running to cause issues. I use a Synology DS216-2 plus for my PLEX server and upgraded the RAM to 8gb, which you can go up to 16gb if you want and i have had zero issues that way.

Please note that all Win10 computers use a Microsoft email account not a local account (as stated in the current status section in the OP), so you're saying that all Win10 comps should use local accounts for it to work? Also yes Plex is now running on a dedicated media sever

No they do not use a Microsoft account. You can use a Local account like you have been with previous editions of Windows before 8.

All computers need to be running Local accounts and then in System Settings, you can set to have one pulling updates under the Microsoft account and then have it be the update server to the others if all the same type of motherboard and other equipment. Otherwise just set to defer updates and give you time to review.

PLEX as long as the libraries in it are shared and can be seen on all machines by network shares or in a Web Browser at Plex I have my NVIDIA Shield set to pull the libraries into Kodi, so that I can watch recordings and listen to music from iTunes media on the Synology NAS.
