Windows 10: notification "you need to fix your microsoft account"

My laptop is Win 10 and wified to my desktop that is Win 8. Lately laptop has a hard time to connect to sites and shows Notification Banner message:
"you need to fix your microsoft account for apps on your devices to be able to launch apps and continue experiences on this device".
I checked around and did not find any solutions for my combination . My Microsoft account, when accessed from desktop is active and ok. What should I do to get rid of that message on my laptop?
Please guys, try to be as simple as possible, I am older and not very good with computers but I will do my best to follow any advice.
    Thank you very much.

Turning off Let apps on my other devices open apps and continue experiences on this device using an option in the tutorial below may be able to sort this for you.

Also remember that if you are logging in with a Local account, not a Microsoft Live, you can make the change for Windows 10 to only use the Live account per Brink's instructions.

Thank you, I just assume that my laptop is build older than 15002 as it was bought in December 2016. Am I right?
    Thanks again :))
