Microsoft does not provide free VPN service. The ability to connect to some VPN servers is included in Windows but Microsoft does not provide a free VPN host to connect to.
The ability did exist before Windows 10. It is for connecting to corporate VPN systems.
ok. thanks. I am thinking it is new in the sense that perhaps,
one can now TURN IT OFF or BLOCK a vpn with a simple quick SWITCH
I've have never used one, but I can imagine that before Microsoft provided
a SIMPLE switch to turn it on and off, or allow or disallow,
it must have required more effort to turn it on and off.
Only Windows built-in limited VPN client. It would not affect third party VPN clients such as OpenVPN.
