Windows 10: Smart TV cannot access shared network drives
Smart TV cannot access shared network drives
I have a network of 4 computers including --2 X NAS (GYLFI / BROWNBEAR on Network diagram).
On Windows machines I can connect HDD's via SAMBA as network drives
If I now say use VLC on a smart TV I can logon to the Windows systems but I only see LOCAL drives and not the network drives.
From a Windows machine on the network
I don't want to set up 2 X multimedia servers on each of the NAS systems -- I should be able to access the drives via VLC on the Smart TV.
(I can do it via SAMBA and PLEX media server but I was trying to avoid that).
Any easy solution other than accessing the Servers direct with the smart TV / phone application.
