Genius needed: Error 4000, Random DNS drops, ''no data received''-erro

    Hello

I've been having this weird problem. Ive had it on previous installations before, and could never fix it. Usually im able to fix almost everything.

Some websites i am unable to connect to. Receiving errors rrelated to DNS and ''timed out'' etc.

Windows report ''Proxysettings could not be found'' bla bla..

Event log reports an error 4000

It is not driver related, as ive reinstalled the network driver. Ive also tried different Duplex settings on my network card. Ive tried multiple cards (Lan and wifi on different networks). Also router reset and firmware is up 2 date.

Basicly, its a problem with the computer, which i am unable to find and resolve.

Id seriously appreciate a fix, as this is a weird and seemingly randomly occuring error ive encountered for many years, which i've previously only resolved when i got a new SSD and complete reinstalled on it.

Diagnostics says to contact network admin. (Hence, not much help as its a home network and im the owner)

Open Admin command prompt, type netsh winsock reset, press enter. Restart computer when action completes. If you then have no network or network adapter not detected reinstall the network adapter card driver.

    Tried. Didnt work

I suspect that VPN-clients somehow has corrupted something. Ive tried Tweaking.com win10 repair in safe mode with all network related repairs etc. VPN clients removed

    Problem still not fixed.

Update. Noticed that this problem goes away if i am using a VPN. Seems like the non-vpn DNS is corrupt or something?
