Apparently the problem come from build 1511 because it use samba 3, so you have to disabled like that :

Command prompt / administrator and type two lines together like that :

    sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/nsi
    sc.exe config mrxsmb20 start= disabled

    clic on enter

This run for me, I can see all my mapped PC now, windows XP, windows 10 and thresold

Thank you! This worked for me when none of the other suggestions (that I've tried so far) did not. Worked after restarting and could log in with my PIN still. It now shows the other computers in my workgroup. WHY Microsoft? WHY???? What a waste of time.

IT MAY HELP! ! ! Windows 10 can see Window XP now!

I had this problem for 2 weeks.
Windows XP can see and access all the other 3 Windows 10 PCs in Network and HomeGroup but not on Windows 10 PCs.

Now by chance I solved it just by doing the following:

    On Windows 10 PCs,
    - Click on <This PC>
    - Click on <Network>
    - Click on <View>
    - Click and make sure the is a tick on <Hidden items>

    It works!

Networked Workgroup computers and server not showing in Network browse

    *SOLUTION*
I discovered that my server on the network had defaulted to smb2. I changed the server to smb1, and yikes everything appeared under Network in Win 10 Pro 64. It seems any networked computer not on smb1 will cause all network browse to fail.

    10568.17 just broke it again!

    CMD (admin)
    sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/nsi
    sc.exe config mrxsmb20 start= disabled

    Works!

This just solved my problem with my NINE Windows 10 (Home and Pro) Build 10586 networked PCs as well...Even the very difficult WiFi connected Garage computer...I did this fix on each and every PC and now I can see and access every PC from another.

    Does Microshaft know about this???

When I try to open my wife's shared files I get an error. I do the trouble shooting and it Restore network protocols to default settings. But it says: One or more network protocols are missing on this computer. And then: Windows Sockets registry entries required for network connectivity are missing. But it can't fix the problem. What should I do next. I have an xfinity router. She can see and use my shared folders off of hers.

So you implemented the above fix on BOTH computers and then rebooted?
Have you also renamed the shares to ALL ONE CASE...Either Upper or Lower Case?
