I am running Windows 10 1511 (OS Buld 11103.1000). Problem persists.
    Try the following.....
all computers shut down , except the one you originally set up the Homegroup on.
    Unjoin the Homegroup, restart.
    Create New Homegroup, (new password).
Do all usual shares and make sure in 'All Networks' password protection off.
Start one of the other computers with this new setup running.
Unjoin Homegroup on started, and restart.
On checking Homegroup again you should find a new group available to join, Join.
Check same shares on this machine.
If other shares are made, then these will need to be also rechecked.
Do same for all other machines.
Hopefully this will work. I finally have all the network so that what should be seen is there.

Same Issues, Any Fix in sight?

So at first I loved Windows 10, it was quick and networking was sweet, had 2 laptops, and 1 desktop working flawlessly all together.... Then the dreaded November update, build 1511. Now I have nothing but networking issues, before realizing this was a known problem, I reimaged the desktop, and 1 laptop, and bought a new laptop, again all was great until they started getting the 1511 update a day later.

I have tried numerous things listed here, but the computers just don't appear under the network in explorer. Sometimes the desktop doesn't even see itself! Its kind of random when they see eachother and they don't, but I really can't get the laptop to see the desktop at all under the network icon.

I have them working at the moment in the homegroup, and accessing info, even though they are not listed under the network icon. Is this the best I can do at this point? Is there any resolve or should I just be happy they are working at the moment on homegroup, and just deal with the fact that Microsoft really botched this update....

Additional Observations on Functionality of "The Problem"

Same problem here, on a new month-old computer with Win10home pre-installed [ Windows 10 Home, Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.71) ], as well as on 9 other machines on the network. (all except for mine are running Win10home, and all were upgraded from Win7 to Win10home using the free Microsoft update method)

The functionality on my system is a little different than some others are noting. Opening File Explorer and clicking on the Network link in the Navigation Pane will show about half of the computers that are on the network, both in the Navigation Pane under "Network" and in the Content Area under "Computer". The other computers APPEAR to be gone/missing/unavailable.

However, if you click in the Location Bar and MANUALLY type in one of the missing computer names (for example, "\\CHUCK-PC"), then it will now display the shared items in the Content Area, and the newly connected computer name will show over in the Navigation Pane under network. But, when you click the Network link to display the computers again... you do NOT see that newly discovered computer listed in the Content Area... EVEN THOUGH it is still showing over on the left in the Navigation Pane!!!

An additional observation is that if you close the File Explorer, and then re-open it, the manually typed in computer name is now gone from the left in the Navigation Pane... you have to manually type it in again to make it appear.

(note 1: all computers are on the same Homegroup, all are Private Network, all are set to discover and share everything.)
(note 2: attached a Win7ultimate laptop to the system with same Homegroup and it could see and be seen by every single computer on the Network.)
(note 3: the computers which seem to be invisible ARE showing under the Homegroup over in the Navigation Pane, and their Music/Pictures/Videos folders are visible (but not any other shared folders).)

So, I guess the question and observation is is... how does Win10 determine what computers to list under "Network" in the Navigation Pane, and how does it determine what computers to list under "Computer" in the Content Area? Clearly, there are two separate methods at work here since the two areas of the same window do not match up (ie. "CHUCK-PC" shows up on the left in the Navigation Pane after manually typing it in the Location bar, but it doesn't show in the Content Area). Maybe these observations will assist someone in figuring this out?

Why dont we creat a Facebook page or such to make Microsoft pay attention to this bug?

    Using password instead of pin

Well, knock me down with a feather.

Change Windows 10 login from a PIN to password and the other computers, devices on the network become visible and accessible.
When I tried this, I am still unable to see the other computers on the network in Network Places. They do appear in homegroup. Nor can I see the backup network drive in Network Places.

    Hi Oracbeek

    What was your problem?
How did you change between SMB1 and SMB2?

    SMB commands

Execute these commands from Command Prompt (Admin)

    To disable SMB2&3:-

    sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/mrxsmb20/nsi

    sc.exe config mrxsmb10 start= auto

    ------------------
    To enable SMB2&3

    sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/mrxsmb20/nsi

    sc.exe config mrxsmb20 start= auto
