Windows 10: IP address lease 192.168.1.2 for Network Card denied by DHCP server

IP address lease 192.168.1.2 for Network Card denied by DHCP server

Each time I switch on my W10 PC, I get an Error 1002 "Address configuration status event" show up in event viewer, and its error description is -

The IP address lease 192.168.1.2 for the Network Card with network address 0x00..snip has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

I'm using a standalone PC, with no other PCs connected to it. If this information helps, the network adapter I'm using is a Realtek PCI GBE built in to the mainboard, with a Huawei HG523a modem router. Thanks for any help/info on this.

Are you sure dhcp is enabled on the router and thatnip isnt assigned to something else which may have logged off

@Samuria, I had a look at my modem router's settings (in a browser at http://192.168.1.1), and saw this -

I wonder if ticking the "Lease duration" field, so that "Permanent lease" is enabled would help to resolve this issue? I'm sorry, but this topic is technically over my head - how do I find out if the IP address is being used by something else which may have logged off? Thanks a lot.

DHCPNACK messages are incorrectly labelled by Microsoft as errors when they should just be information, presumably the lan connection is working ok and the router assigned another IP address to it?
I suspect if you change the DHCP start to 192.168.1.100 the message will go away, could be the embedded wireless in the router is using 192.168.1.2
