pc cant connect to isp nor router
That's a bit backwards, has to connect to the Router first or maybe the Modem usually provided by the ISP. Most times it is Computer to Modem to Internet or Computer to Router to Modem to Internet. Some Modems are combined with a Router function.

it just says cannot connect, doesnt recognize etc..even though wifi is turned on. the function of said router is there to support both my tablet and gaming console. i dont have any other way to resolve this perplexing problem.

Most times a Router can simply be plugged into Modem and a computer plugged into the Router can gain access but setting up the Wi-Fi requires connecting to the Router by Ethernet cable, opening a Browser program, putting in IP numbers in the Address/URL bar such as 192.168.x.x to get into the Router and establish the Wireless security settings. It can be daunting the first time one has to do it. Some Routers come with software and others have a routine on paper that tells how to start.

my router only came with instructions. dont care much for lengthy steps just to try and get back to ipv6 mode..even though i saw a recent scan testing ipv6 compatibility sez ipv6 is supported. i want an "easy" button. one push and problem solved. this problem will be ongoing until i find an easier way.. i suspect comcast has something to do with it. they are always acting sneaky.
