    suddenly stuck on airplane mode

    Hi,
I was hoping someone know how to resolve this problem, the past couple of days i had multiple clients with no network connection they where working on a windows 10 computer.

Eventually we found why they had no connection it was because of airplane mode, some clients had the airplane icon on there screen. But the problem here was/is they cannot change the mode to something else, non of the default windows options to set airplane mode are available on a pc.

The only fix we found was setting the ipv4 settings manually -> rebooting the pc -> and change it back to automatic.

Does someone know how to change airplane mode on a pc where this option is normally not available, or another easy fix?

    Many thanks,
    Ricardo

Hi, assuming you are referring to desktops (this is easy with laptops) I've seen this hint a number of times:

"I resolved my issue by unplugging my USB cable from my UPS battery and restarting. Once I did this, airplane mode disappeared from my system.

And FYI here's what I found as a registry entry on my laptop- which may or may not help you- you'd have to see what you have.

I'm guessing something monitoring power levels caused Windows 10 (in my case, the UPS battery monitoring) to activate airplane mode. So if you don't have a UPS battery, do you have anything else that may report/monitor power levels on your system - maybe that's the cause of airplane mode being activated?"
