It should be enabled by default. You can check or manage SMB configuration data using PowerShell, as documented in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2696547. The set-smbserverconfiguration cmdlet works fine in Windows 10 without requiring additional downloads or bit-fiddling.

If you're trying to access SAMBA servers (non-Windows, perhaps) from Windows 10, here's an old thread that addresses some typical related issues: Solved Samba Shares don't show up in Windows 10 Network - Windows 10 Forums. If not, perhaps you might tell us how you need or want to use SMB or CIFS, and we might be able to suggest some good things to know, do, or try.

What is read on the link you posted sounds awesome so i used the power shell and enabled smb2 that way and my pc seems a lot snappier after un ticking smb1 feature before enabling smb2. It seems like smb2 and enabling enable raw that would need to be added in the registry under services in the the lanman server section but sometimes windows can be a bit tricky

I just like to optimize and tweak which i know a low end pc cant be quicker than 5000$ pc but tweaks that are safer than enableing turn off buffer flushing are out there and it seems like my goal is to find out what those tweaks and optimizing things are like another example foreground locktimeout is set for 20 seconds on every pc from xp to windows 10 switch the value from 200000 to 0 and apps start opening quicker or win32fileseperatin switch 2 to 26 and what you see seems to respond better or like how there are services that can be disabled which opens up more resources on the pc. But one thing is for sure i still have a lot to learn when it comes to pcs

Best TCP/IP tweaking tool I know of is SpeedGuide.net's TCPOptimizer. Save your default configuration before you start tweaking, but it is an absolutely AWESOME network tweaking tool. Check it out!
