Ethernet cuts out and downgrades link speed

    Hey all
I'm wondering if anyone can help with this one. around a once a day for the last few days my Ethernet connection between my PC and router (Virgin Media Hub 3 in case your wondering) cuts out for around 30-60 seconds comes back on but instead of receiving a 1 Gbps connection it only receives 100 Mbps. Until a few weeks ago this would have been a non issue since I had a 100mbps internet connection but I have since taken a free speed upgrade to 150 Mbps. This isn't an urgent issue since unplugging the cable from the router sorts the problem out but it is annoying so any advice would be appreciated. I have also posted a screenshot the network detail window as well.

    Thanks

I guess, you have already updated your network adapter's driver? You might find interesting:

it does look like it was faulty Ethernet cable since I have tested my connection with 2 cables (one new and one borrowed from my xbone) and so far no problems so I'm marking as solved
