Windows 10: WMP network sharing service

    WMP network sharing service

I'm not sure many people really use or care for this feature but I still use WMP and its sharing service. I notice on Windows 10 its role as a DLNA server habitually drops and the WMP network sharing service needs restarting or a restart of Windows brings it back. It's pretty random and doesn't happen much but it does happen enough to be annoying. Anyone else notice this?

That is because WMP is going away within the next year. Microsoft is moving away from Media platforms, since third party software does a way better job. They are trying to move back to their roots that a computer is a household appliance, not a toy to play games on.
