That's too bad. There are hundreds of members on this forum to help you - just because the first one or two can't help you doesn't mean that some others can. For one thing - does your laptop not see any other WiFi networks away from home, like at the library or McDonald's? Or is it just at your dad's house? If it is just your dad's house it might be that his SSID (the network name broadcast by the WiFi router) is set to hidden on his router and you would manually have to enter the SSID to connect to it.

Bro67. So my irrelevant point that when I am at home the laptop is fine and the laptop has all the steps it is supposed to have and when I leave my home WiFi all of these things go away is not the point? So what is the point? I think it is very interesting that my laptop works like it is supposed to at home then as soon as I take it away from my home WiFi it does not. I think that is my problem and that is what I need to figure out and fix. But since you are so smart about my laptop and what I need you keep telling me how irrelevant my problems are. It makes this whole thing so much better.
Again repeating everything is not helping yourself in any way. As I have stated that regardless where you are using the computer, it is irrelevant. Suggest looking up the term.

You want to bridge a connection through your laptop, see Post #2 in regards if you are able to see that information after checking to see if the Wifi adapter is showing up in Device Manger under Network Connections. If not, you need to install the proper drivers and make sure that it is enabled. Very simple instructions, not that hard to fix.

You do realize that you are the one refusing to allow the OP to assist you on this issue. If you post elsewhere, they are going to get a lot more technical and if you refuse to allow them to help you, you will still be stuck where you currently are.

Sad that there are so many people that can't listen to somebody even in writing. The OP's problem was simple and he made it harder on himself that it needed to be. Seeing how he kept repeating the same thing with the his house vs his dads house shows the lack of intellect and computer knowledge on his end. The only thing he saw was it connects fine when I get home and ignored easy help. He probably won't be back but I understand how he probably isn't the smartest guy in the world. So if he doesn't have the capabilities to read and follow directions and than get mad when someone tells him to ignore the irrelevant stuff he probably can't be helped to much
