    bluetooth

    Hello
I have Windows 10 x 64 and when I upgraded from 7>8>10 I was told I would lose Bluetooth. Is this the reason it is always on in the action center?
I have tried everything but it stays on.
BTW, I just removed a VM.
Also and importantly this is the first a.m. that I have seen it on. Usually it is off.
How can it be on if I don't have bluetooth and why was it off before for months?
    Thank you
    Peter

My Bluetooth works fine and was never "lost" on my upgrade from W7 Pro to W10 Pro HP laptop.

According to Dell's site the computer in your System Specs didn't come with Bluetooth.

Have you added a Bluetooth adapter/dongle? Bluetooth on Notebooks is usually part of the Wi-Fi adapter. Does Device Manager [right-click the Start button] or Bluetooth in Control Panel show you have the hardware?

Bluetooth can be 'paired' to a number of devices such as a mouse, keyboard, cellphone, tablet, etc., but usually is a manual action the first time.

My desktop has a wireless mouse and keyboard but I though it always had a caveat about BT in the systray about BT beng on and when I clicked on it there were choices to turn off and others..
I do know that when I upgraded the MS "adviser" regarding the similar Dells, XPS 8300 and the Inspiron N5010, said I would lose Bluetooth and something about network adapter. It appeared on both computers. My laptop definitely had it but it was removed in the upgrade as it said it would.
