Not that easy with this to switch, it is my brother's purchase. I am sure there is a way around it.
    The configuration is already DHCP
This routers works with two tablets and a phone on several occasions and none of these have the issue plus there is a computer set up wirelessly in the basement (far from the router) and that works. Do you think it could be windows 10?

There is nothing to switch. It is a setting on the Gateway that solves this issue. As for Windows 10, I have already stated that it has a problem when it comes to WiFi leases. Knowing Microsoft and the way they have royally screwed up all versions of 10, they will most likely never fix or solve this problem with the OS.

That sucks, I am going to tell him to take it back to the store. It is the version of windows that hasn't been updated or fixed?

Again he does not have to return anything back to the store.

Either he has to constantly log into his router each time or set the gateway - can you tell me how to do this?
