    Airplane mode wouldn't turn off


    So basically can't use internet

    I have an 8 years old Sony VAIO laptop and it was getting real slow lately, so I decided to buy an SSD (Samsung 850 EVO 250gb). Installed it yesterday and then installed Win 10 on it. Then I saw that net wasn't working so I restarted just in case.
    Even after that, the net didn't worked so I went into settings and this is where I saw that the Airplane mode was on and I couldn't turn it off.
    I have looked around the net for any solution but haven't found one. One guy said that on some laptops, if you install windows on battery without charging, this problem can occur. Now I tried reinstalling windows but now the laptop (or BIOS or whatever) wouldn't detect the bootable USB stick. So I'm stuck here too

    Hope this was clear (writing in a hurry)

    A number of people have reported this as you may know- no clear solution.

    Also note the tile also appears if you left click the network icon in the system tray area
