W10 insider doesn't remember my wifi password

    Hello

I've just installed Wiondows 10 Insider Preview Build 14279 and I've noticed a problem.
It's unable to save my WiFi password, I need to write it again every time I turn on Windows, even if I check the option "connect automatically".

How can I solve this problem?
It was working well before, with my "regular" Windows 10

As this is an insider build, it is a Beta version of the software and you have to expect these minor annoyances. You should report this issue to Microsoft using the facilities on the start menu. hopefully it should be solved by the time the next Insider build is released and certainly by the next full release - this type of testing/reporting is the price you pay for getting early access to the next version of Windows 10

Yes, I know, and I'm not complaining but just asking for someone's solution.

You could uninstall Wi-Fi driver in Device manager, reinstall it and see whether it fixes the problem.

That was the first I tried but it doesn't work.
I have other problems with this Insider version, then I'd like to go back to the regular version of Windows 10 but it doesn't accept to be installed keeping my old apps, and I can't use the recovery to go back because I deleted the Windows.old folder.

You have to back up your important data on an external hard drive and do a clean install.

It's useful to back up your system on a regular basis with Macrium reflect or similar utility.

But, later, Will I need to reinstall every application one by one or can I just use Macrium to install them on the new Windows 10?

Macrium is an imaging program, it creates an exact BIT by BIT copy of a disk or partition - if you have an image of the complete running regular version of windows taken before you went over to the Insider build then you could load this at any time to replace the insider build.

You cannot take an image for the Insider build and use it to re-install programs onto another Operating system - Images are all or nothing options so if you go back to the regular build you will have to completely install all programs - this is explained in the documentation that is agreed to when joining the insider program

Then Macrium is not what I need.
I need something to migrate my apps from my current OS to the new one.

Because of the way that modern operating systems are designed the sort of application you want is, to the best of my knowledge, not available - It would be akin to taking an cake and returning it to it's constituent parts then adding some of the constituent parts to another cake
