Sharing, Homegroup do I need the?

Windows 10: Only PC user, account shows me as Local Account Administrator.

Is this the same as a simple "Local Account". Ir not what should I make it?

Do I still have a reason to have a "Network"?

Have a wireless router, connected to desktop with ethernet cable I use for streaming to TVs.

Does this sound correct or should I change any of the above?

A Local Administrator Account is just for the computer. It has nothing to do with the network. Without a Network connection, you cannot get online, share files, printers, etc.

A wireless connection is not best for streaming media. You will find that quality will suffer and that the stream may stop, because of buffering. Always best to use a wired connection for media streaming.

I'd recommend two accounts on your PC.

The first should be a local account "YOURUSERNAME" for all your daily use. This offers a degree of protection from unwanted intrusions and making irreversible mistakes.

The second should be "Administrator" with a password which is required for installing applications and other system changes.

If, for any reason, your "YOURUSERNAME" account goes belly up, you can then make corrections and repairs using the Administrator account.
