I have a network drive, which I set up to save a copy of a folder for offline use using the instructions here:

I am not able to find any option for setting the drive to work online...
Turning the HomeGroup option on in the start menu:

I cannot leave the homegroup. we had 2 computers in the network with windows 7 and windows 8.1. Windows 7 upgraded to windows 10. and the other one did a clean install of windows 8.1. Now i cannot leave the homegroup from windows 10 and the windows...
Here is info from both computers that might assist in troubleshooting my problem. Trying to Import from IE shows "couldn't import favorites."
In both of the following instances identical lists of my favorites and contents of Favorites Bar appear...
1. We have a home l.a.n. with two pcs. (mine W10, my wife's W8.1). How do I get them into a homegroup for sharing? 2. when 'sharing' is taking place does it decommission one of the PCs?
