No Internet & Network Sharing problem again.
    Uninstalled Anti Virus Avast again!
Then, "The Application was unable to start correctly" for Internet Explorer & Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox Perfect.
    Rebooted, all issues fixed.
Called Avast, Level 1, did not know what the word Definitions meant.
    Researching for replacement Anti Virus.

I have fixed the windows 10 virus! Just letting you guys know how I did it so maybe it will work for you :). After doing YET ANOTHER factory reset (3rd time) before I installed anything I went straight to the windows update and updated it to the most recent update of windows 10. Now mind you, my computer came with windows 8.1 but my factory reset sends me back to windows 10 no matter what. Anywho, I installed those suckers, restarted my computer twice, then wa-la it was fixed. Hope this helps anyone who is having trouble :). Back up everything before on a hard drive or something! Do NOT install anything (especially Antivirus) before updating. The Antivirus blocks updates that are crucial to the update to work. If you installed an update with the Antivirus on, you cannot just simply Uninstall them. The damage is already done and you need to go back before your update downloaded. Sorry for those who this didn't help. FOR THE FUTURE : EITHER UNINSTALL OR COMPLETELY TURN OFF YOUR ANTIVIRUS FOR WINDOWS 10 UPDATES.
I'll be posting this on other forums with this problem as well.

I have CenturyLink in Alabama and I am also having this issue. It has to be a Windows 10
    bug.

    Hi,

Exactly same problem, using Virgin Media in modem mode, with TP-Link. However, using VM in router/modem no problem.

one or more network protocols are missing from this computer

I too am experiencing this issue. I had been on Windows 10 for a few weeks, but changed to Time-Warner cable in place of AT&T ADSL this past week,(maybe a mistake on my part,...). Anyway, when troubleshooting the connection issues, I began getting this message. Of course TW said it was a problem with my computer, but it sure wouldn't connect. So, the thing that I noticed that seemed to be different from my previous connection settings was the introduction of IPv6. I have now gone in and unchecked IPv6 in my network adapters. I am on the road so not at home so I can test it, but am thinking this might just be the "new" change that could prompt that message, since my PC is a couple of years old, I'm not certain my network cards support this protocol. If someone else is having this issue and unchecking this option it works, let us know.

Try this. Bump the thread if it works so others can see it.

    Thanks everyone.
Still no luck, fine if I connect VM hub in router/ modem mode.

This is definitely a Windows 10 problem.

Not all providers are using IPv6. They are still using IPv4. I have not had any issues using a Cisco RV-320 as my "Edge Router", in front of the U-Verse Gateway that I have. It has been foolproof doing it that way. Especially that the CPU's and RAM is lacking on the leased units.

I too had this problem. I discovered in my case it was due to my antivirus program (Vipre Antivirus). I turned it off and then the problem went away. I realize the problem may be more detailed that this but it is a quick check to see if disabling it temporarily has an impact.
