SOLVED! First, followed topgundcp's tutorial, as mentioned in previous posts. That did not solve the problem for me, but it's a necessary step. I then renamed the missing drive in ALL CAPS. Then, in services, I set "function discovery resource publication" to automatic. I'm not sure if the solution was actually one, the other, or both. I found these suggestions here:http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...b-f1750d3ad818.

There's no reason that it did not work with the steps I posted. The question is: Did you reset everything such as shutdown & Reboot all devices in your home networking to refresh all DNS cache ?

BTW, The smartscreen does not have to be on as I turned it off in all my PC's to avoid annoying popup.

Well, I'm decidedly no expert. But yes, I did shutdown, reboot, and refresh the DNS cache with most of these steps over the last several days, as I recall.

What annoying popup? I haven't gotten any of these (yet), but I'll continue to experiment with smartscreen on and off.

Thank you, topgundcp, for sticking with me with this problem. Still working OK as of this morning.

Yup, topgundcp, you're right--smartscreen not necessary. I shut it off and all drives on my network still appear on both computers. I edited my previous post to reflect that.
